Honeycomb Shades
Two honeycomb shades, joined in the “middle,” created from two completely different fabrics. The top shade is typically light filtering, sometimes even translucent for an outside view. The bottom shade is room darkening–using an opaque fabric to block out the light for room darkening. This shade system adjusts up and down. Cover the window with just light filtering or just room darkening. Or, for a balance of both, use a bit of both for a top down shades effect.
Secondary Roller Shade
Two window shades, featuring independent operation, share one headrail with this version of dual shades. Available for Hunter Douglas Silhouette Shades, Roller Shades, Solar Shades and Vignette Modern Roman Shades, the front shade is described as light-filtering, while the second shade drops into place when light blocking is necessary. Depending on fabric selection and type of shade, the front shade can offer a view-through to the landscape. The secondary shade is almost exclusively a blackout roller shade.
Honeycomb Secondary Shade
Relatively new, a secondary shade, comprised of a cellular shade, is added behind a woven shade. Exclusive to the Provenance Woven Woods collection, this light-filtering front shade can still exhibit all of the features and beauty you love. When the temperatures soar, or when you want more room darkening control, the secondary honeycomb shade lowers into place to bring the control you need.
